Bikeability Family is a new course provided under the Bikeability banner in conjunction with the Hertfordshire Cycling team.
This course provides a tailored training package to help people living in the same household to cycle together.
All members of the family group must be able to cycle unaided prior to training. There must be one adult in the group. The maximum group size is 6.
The instructor will work with your group to help you to ride to the places you want to visit. They will help the adult(s) to ride with and protect the children and make cycle rides fun for all the family.
The course consists of an initial conversation (may be by telephone or email) to gauge the level of experience of all the riders and to get an idea of what the family wants to get out of their sessions. Followed by a 1 hour lesson away from traffic and a subsequent 2 hour lesson which may include a short road (or cycleway) ride if everyone's skills allow.
